There are four major components to making any character believable; detailed sculpt, textures, lighting and shaders. Shaders are an integral part of replicating pre-render settings and creating realistic human or organic skin. We can create custom shaders for organic materials and skin for pre-render motion picture or cinematic applications as well as in engine shaders for any character using existing tools or by authoring skin shaders in C++ to be integrated into any real time engine or application.

The more details there are in your high poly model the better. These details are necessary for great normal and detail map creation. What good is a great, highly detailed, realistic character without life-like realistic textures? In creating RPM™ we have spent a lot of time refining texture methods to produce accurate translation of pre-render results in real time. It all starts with the hires motion picture quality textures; without this a great model will fall short of its promise. Whether it's for cinematics, animated films, motion pictures or real time applications we can create the highest quality textures for any character or asset.
This is another critical step in the character creation process. The inability of developers to replicate pre-render results in real time as advertised in Television Commercials for their products is drawing the ire of consumers and media alike. Far too often a great hires model is poorly represented in real time. This issue is not limited to the conversion of hires to real time assets but also the translation from hires to med-res cinematic assets. The accuracy of these maps is crucial for achieving the desired result. It's not hard to look at current games and see poorly defined, poorly replicated real time assets. In developing RPM™ we spent a lot of time focusing on normal maps and enhanced accuracy. As you can see from the assets below we are nearly able to replicate the hires assets details onto low-res in game assets with minimal loss while making these assets more manageable and efficient in real time.
